This website is about Chinese nationalism on the Internet and its links to China’s emerging consumer culture. It also deals with issues of language, censorship, and violence, and with whether, in the future, we might see more challenges to nationalist talk and fewer kneejerk campaigns on the Chinese Internet.

The site’s core is a stationary text, written by Third Tone Devil and illustrated by Putao in 2006-07. The Devil also posts occasional blog entries on new developments related to the subject.
